The Letterkenny Army Child Development center supports the Army Family Covenant by offering full-day, part-time and hourly care for children ages six weeks through kindergarten.

Child Development Center programs provide rich and stimulating environments in which children develop motor, cognitive, social and emotional skills through a balance of exploration and planned curriculum. Learning activities are designed to support the natural development of children and include individual, small group and large group experiences.

Each staff member completes a series of comprehensive training modules which address the domains of child development (social, emotional, cognitive, language, physical). Carlisle Youth School Servives goal is to ensure that all children who attend the Child Development Center, receive care which is developmentally appropriate nurturing each individual child. A full-time Training and Curriculum Specialist is on site to support and guide staff with ongoing training and to offer hands-on support in the classroom.
